If using a GPS Unit from your vehicle, note that some units may list the inn’s address as 10 Bridge St. Avoid entering 20 Main St., as it may direct you to Stonington, six miles away.


Portland Area is 3 hours

  • Interstate 95 North: Take I-95 north to Augusta.
  • Route 3 East: Follow Route 3 east to Belfast.
  • Route 1 North: In Belfast, turn left onto Route 1 (also Route 15/3) through Searsport and Bucksport.
  • Turn for Blue Hill: About 9 miles past Bucksport, turn right at the Shell station onto Route 15 south toward Blue Hill.
  • Green Suspension Bridge: Stay on Route 15 south for 12 miles to the suspension bridge leading to Little Deer Isle.
  • Deer Isle Village: Cross the bridge and continue 5.5 miles. At a sharp hairpin curve, turn right onto Main Street.
  • Pilgrim’s Inn: Just past the post office on the left, look for the large red building.

Bangor Airport (BGR) is 1.5 hours

  • Union Street to I-95: From the airport, take Godfrey Road to Union Street, turn right at the light, and follow to the I-95 South entrance.
  • Route 395 East: Take I-95 South briefly, then exit onto Route 395 East (Bangor/Brewer) for about 2 miles.
  • Route 15 South: Take Exit 4 for Route 15 South (Main Street) and continue through Brewer and Bucksport.
  • Turn for Blue Hill: About 9 miles past Bucksport, turn right at the Shell station onto Route 15 South.
  • Green Suspension Bridge: Follow Route 15 South through Blue Hill for 12 miles to the suspension bridge to Little Deer Isle.
