Bar Harbor Cellars

When you visit Bar Harbor Cellars, you will be given a clipboard with a list of wines currently offered, organized into white, red, and non-grape varieties. Germany, Italy, France, and California are just a few locations that supply grapes to the wine collection at Bar Harbor Cellars. Along with these grapes, local fruit is used to create non-grape wines. These varieties include the famous Bar Harbor blueberry wine and black currant wine. Once you make your selection of six wines, these will be provided for a unique tasting experience. After the wine tasting, you will also receive a complimentary tasting of a new Bar Harbor Cellars hard cider! There are also some delicious dessert-style wines available at Bar Harbor Cellars created with rich and smooth concentrated grape nectar.

Bartlett Maine Estate Winery and Distillery

Both handcrafted wines and liquors are available for tasting at the Bartlett Winery. At this premier selection of Downeast Maine wineries and distilleries, you can enjoy some unusual and intriguing flavors. On the liquor side, you can indulge in the Rusticator Rum, made with organic molasses. This oak-aged creation has aromas of vanilla, toffee, and cigar smoke with hints of lime and banana. You will also love the incredible fruit wines at Bartlett, from the Wild Blueberry to the French Oak Dry Pear. A Sweet Mead and Blackberry are some other delicious, sweet flavors. The tasting room is also lovely, located in a hand-wrought stone facade that is just a picturesque drive away from Pilgrim’s Inn!

Catherine Hill Winery

You can also experience the craft creations of Downeast Maine wineries at Catherine Hill Winery in Cherryfield. Complimentary wine tastings are available daily as well as in-depth tastings with six or more varieties. The intimate tasting room is a great space to unwind with some wine. The berry wines are particularly interesting, from a red raspberry L’il Razzcle to a blackberry and amber Bramble Rose. The Cranberry Isle pairs nicely with aromatic cheeses, while the Cherryfield Blues is ideal with pub grub and good times!
