Celebrating Maine’s Bicentennial: Deer Isle, Maine Has Inspired So Many Books and Films

It’s Maine’s Bicentennial, so why not celebrate by checking out some books and films with Maine threads. Here is a sampler list, just a list, as I don’t want to give it all away and spoil it for you, of books and films that were inspired by places in or near Deer Isle, Maine. Some were filmed here in Maine, and some of the authors have deep roots here. Some of it extends farther through The Pine Tree State, too.
